The Browns Canyon section of the Arkansas River is the most popular whitewater section in the U.S., because it is challenging enough for experienced rafters, yet forgiving enough for first-timers. This boulder-strewn canyon sports large, exciting rapids, each followed by a calm pool that allows time to recover and prepare for the next big rapid.
1) Geographic changes to Brown’s canyon could, over a long period of time, destroy the commercial rafting economy in Brown’s canyon (rapids become too severe for tourists?). If the commercial rafting industry is destroyed, it is less likely for the DIP sign to be maintained…it would eventually deteriorate after 100+ years and rust away.
Browns Canyon Rafting is your trusted Buena Vista Rafting leader. We are locally owned & operated, focusing on fun, safe, quality Colorado rafting trips.
